#QOTD #33 – let’s be like crayons

You know, in life you’re going to be broken down. You are going to be hurt, you at some point are going to give more than you receive. You’re going to go through things that will make you question everything; faith, your purpose, people and even your own existence.

We always hear people say that it’s always for the better and that we break so that we can rebuild ourselves to something stronger, a better version of ourself they say. It may seem as though it’s a cliche’ but it’s the truth. Atleast I think it is.

I Came across a picture and it reminded me of a quote. One that I’m actually quite fond of because it suggests that you don’t have to wait to be “rebuilt” after being broken to still impact the world or those around us. It suggests that we don’t have to be in perfect condition to carry out our purposes.

It goes:

Broken crayons still colour.

~ unknown

Just like that crayon, when we’re “broken” and when things seem jaded, you have the ability to create something beautiful. You still have something to give, that colour is you(: God has an amazing way of making things work out and just because we go through certain things, doesn’t mean that our essence should change.

In most cases, it’s for us to realize just how intense our colours are, how unique and special we are. It’s Gods way of forcing us to focus on what’s important.

So even though that crayon is broken, it may not be new, fancy or even appealing to the eye…it still has the ability to carry it out it’s function; to make things beautiful with colour. It’s sole purpose is not affected by it’s break. There’s beauty in every struggle indeed.

So always remember, no matter what life throws at you, peservere and colour on. The world needs you (: The world needs more colour.

Happy humpday everybody.

Love and light always. From just an ordinary girl 🌈
