MERAKI. [May. Rah. Kee].

MERAKI: a word derived from the Turkish word Merak and is a verb or adverb in modern Greek literature.

It refers to putting something of yourself into your work; soul, creativity and love.

Everything that we do contributes to our personal brand. Perceptions, assumptions and thoughts are conceived by how we present ourselves, be it through our appearance, manner in which we conduct ourselves (behaviour) or our work.

To merely do something for the sake of doing is like leading a life with no purpose or direction. What’s the point?

I say that It is for this reason, that we must do all things Meraki; with sincerity, passion, love, soul and creativity. Every piece of work we put out must have that personal touch. It must ooze authenticity. This is a message I echo to my team at work and it serves as a reminder to me.

So whether you’re in the arts, the Corporate world, medical field, or whether you’re a teacher, administrator, book keeper or even a call Centre agent… Do all things with Meraki.

Love and light always, from just an ordinary girl.

He is…

He is…

love and light personified.

He secures me, celebrates me, encourages me, adores me, adorns me, supports me. And I him, all the above, 10 x fold. He is… love and light personified.

He is the light at the end of my dark tunnel; my cloud’s silver lining. I don’t need no other finding. He is… love and light personified.

He is faith restored, he is my happiness, he is my calm. He is my crazy, my DK. He is my comfort zone. He is simply amazing. He is…. love and light personified.

He is my partner, my plus one, my Clyde. He is my prayer partner, my confidant, he is the reason I smile, the reason I experience severe cases of collywobbles. He is … love and light personified.

He is thoughtful, he is kind, he is not boastful,  oh but the words I cannot find. He is… love and light personified.

He is everything I’ve ever wanted and more. It is him that my delicate heart now beats for. He is… my blessing, nomore stressing  and a lot less messing. The doors to my heart are now open, won’t you take a step in?

My soul equation is now balanced , I yearn for his presence, for our mergence, he has my loves license. My heart has docked and I’m content since the day he became my gent. He is… love and light personified.

He is… mine ❤️ and oh so fine😎

He is… love and light personified.

Ugly?

What is ugly? Who is ugly? Is it a thing? Something you do? Something you eat or drink?

How does one define ugly, how ironic, because I think the word ugly should only be used to describe itself ; the word ugly.

In a society that is becoming more westernized . We have some how forgotten to focus and see the beauty in things and people. It’s a culture steering us to see how we can use people and love things. It’s superficial and it is fake. It pressurizes the weak to feed into a control system. To look a certain way, act a certain , speak a certain way and it forces one to lose their identity, their reason for existence. It forces one to loose their “x” factor. I mean we are meant to excel and so well, just not to excel or do better than the powers that be right?

Girls thriving to be seen as those on the cover magazines or on Tv. If you don’t look like them, or don’t act like them then you’re ugly? I call #BS!

Who has given anybody the right to even use that word, especially on others. Can somebody explain to me how ugliness is defined or measured? I am so eager to know.

I think if you use the word ugly on people, it would be best suited to describe you as well.

Guys! We really need to start making an effort to appreciate people for who they are and not what they can do for us. Physical appearances should not have the power and impact that it has been granted. It is all temporary. The quicker we learn and accept this, the quicker we can teach our kids this.

I think I need to research where this word was derived from.

Happy hump day beautiful people!
