#QOTD #74: Faith

The first of March. Dude! Where is 2018 going!!!

Bittersweet month for me; passing of my son and loads of family birthdays, including mine.

I figured the below quote is fitting, because it kept me sane and put a lot into perspective when Mika’il passed on. Five. He would have been five this year! And I’m getting stronger as the years go by, whenever I have my moments, I remind myself of this quote. Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The reality of faith is knowing that what has passed you by was not going to befall you; and that what has befallen you was not going to pass you by

That’s right! What’s meant for you, has your name on it.

I can go on and blame the hospital nurses on technicality. I could blame my situation, ex husband and even myself. But the truth is, God willed it this way and he knows why.

Perhaps he knew deep down inside, the mother I wished to be and the condition I wanted to raise my kids in and he knew Mika’il wouldn’t have had that.

Perhaps Mika’il was meant to change me and grant me strength to get rid of all the toxic; people and situations I had in my life… this reasons are actually endless (:

So whether you’re applying for a new post, taking on a new venture or preparing to achieve your goal. Do your best and put in the work but should it not materialize as expected, don’t beat yourself up because, if it is meant for you, it will never pass you (:

We spend too much time over thinking with what-ifs , should haves, could haves or would haves.

Your best is enough!

#QOTD #73: Mondays

For as long as I can remember, I hated Mondays. It was like an “argggh, do we have to do this again”.

But then when I started understanding the power of the mind and a positive attitude, I started practicing unwiring the negative outlook Mondays.

Today’s quote was inspired by that process

Mondays aren’t meant to be blue ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’ง= โŒ!

Mondays are meant to be magical ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ซโœจ๐Ÿงš๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ and colorful ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒˆ and unicorny ๐Ÿฆ„ = โœ…

~ Tay Breezy

May your Monday be filled with loads of positivity and opportunity and laughter and happiness. Let us set the precedent for the days to come.

#QOTD #70: ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸผExcellence

Posting today’s quotes was inspired by many things, besides the quote itself

Namely:

  • People always selling themselves short as an excuse not to be great.
  • To create hope that anything is possible if one puts their mind to it.
  • To highlight the importance of a great attitude.

And it reads:

Excellence is not a skill, it’s an attitude

~Ralph Marston

What does this mean?

Not only can it (excellence) not be taught by learning but rather practicing, it also means that it’s something you constantly do and give off. Whenever, wherever, however and with whomever!

There’s a huge difference between an “atti” and a skill

A skill, according to Google, is the ability to do something well. You’re only required to apply yourself for a specific time, when it is required.

An attitude is considered as a settled way of thinking or feeling about something. It is basically you, in every moment, good or bad. There’s no specific required time to flex your attitude like there is for a skill.

Thriving for excellence should be something we constantly aim to achieve with everything that we do. It shouldn’t only be applied, when required (:

Happy CHOOSEday! I choose excellence

#QOTD #19

I’m sitting in the car park, waiting for our work shuttle to take us to our offices. And I was just feeling peeved but then I thought, what is being peeved going to do to help my situation?

If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.

~ said the beautiful Maya Angelou!

And I have to agree with her!

if we are not willing to change certain things or if we can’t for any reason, then we need to change or attitudes towards it. No use fussing over something that’s not going to change yeah?

Happy Wednesday everybody!
