They have books, antiques, flowers and clothes on sale too!
The Menu prices are fair, we tried out their chai tea latte’s, toasted rye cheese and tom samies with sweet potatoe fries and then ended it off with a yummy slice of baked cheesecake. Bill including the tip was R160. 00.
It took a while for us to get served however, The owner is amazingly sweet and the hospitality thereafter was amazing. Oh! And they have free wifi too 😉 so all that made the wait worthwhile 🙂

” having a true friend at work, is beyond a blessing in disguise”
Many of you know that the weeks I’ve been having are just cray!
However, I’ve been getting through each day with what I refer to as life lines;
Monday’s was bubblegum people and the beautiful quote by Me Mandel.
Yesterday was sleep
Today is the realization above.
I cannot fathom what my already stressful days would be like without my friends at work. The random outburst, hilarious jokes, spontaneous laughs and just the facial expressions through out the day, really help lighten the mood.
Do they change the amount of work that needs to be done No!
Do make all the injustices go away? Hell no!
But what they do is lighten the burden, soften the blows if you wish. They literally make my heart lighter.
Thank you dearest team 🙏🏼
So, If you have some of your truest friends working with you in the same team/ department. Honour them! Because we are indeed blessed.
When women support each other, incredible things happen
Right? I don’t even need to dissect this any further but I’ll enhance on it.
You don’t need to stand and address an arena filled with women to encourage, inspire or support each other . You don’t have wait until you’re an Oprah or mother Theresa of a nation to start valuing and encouraging women to be the best they can be or to “lead” women away from the superficial crap we consume ourselves with.
A few girlfriends and I planned a mini road trip and one night slumber not far from home. People honestly thought that we were in some foreign place because of all of the amazing pics we posted, but those were just BTWs.
The significance of the trip was to break away from reality and just to recoop. The trip was planned to act as a reset button. Time to stop. Reflect and then start again.
Not everybody knew each other however, all were friends of mine. I suggested these ladies because I know all of them personally and I know the journeys we’ve all travelled and the destinations we all hoping to reach. So with Des’s idea for the road trip and us all confirming, it was a recipe for success!
The weekend was beyond refreshing and went off smoothly, we all focused on the most important things; being our selves and sharing perspectives to enhance each other’s thought processes, sharing each other’s joys and then becoming more sensitive to the battles that us women face. We chilled, laughed, expressed, ate, cooked, embraced and loved! Oh and posed 😜
I will be the first to say that I left that weekend away with loads of gratitude, a wider perspective, beautiful memories, fun photos and sisters for life…yes, we’re already planning our next one.
The most beautiful thing for me is that we’re all so similar yet so different. We don’t all belong to the same religion, don’t all have kids, husbands or boyfriends but we had such an amazing time.
That’s all you need to encourage and support your fellow women; spend quality time with them for the sake of bettering yourself and them and then the rest automatically falls into place. We had no time for gossip, judgment, shade throwing, scandling , fighting or any cattish behavior.
So! Write your fellow women a note, dedicate a status or throw in a motivating hashtag to a pic. Go for a picnic, take a drive , catch a movie or even stay home and cook and for or bake. Pout. Anything! But start.
Imagine a world where our women are dedicated to building each other up as opposed to tearing each other down. It seems beautiful, amazing, strong and all things nice to me.
Playing catch up is always so much of fun. I actually feel like I have a purpose lol.
Another theme of the #developingyoureye course, which I’m so behind with, was to capture motion.
So I literally struggled with this one. Then, one of my friends showed me this Fidget spinner that apparently has everybody going cray ( haven’t heard of it before) but it’s said to help reduce stress and has all of these other exciting pros and beneficial properties.
So I saw this thing spinning and I promise you, it’s like my lightbulb just switched on and I was like ” ooh ooh ooh I need to capture this”. Obviously I got WTF stares…see what I mean when you’re brain is always looking or thinking of ways to capture things lol 🙈
So here’s my attempt at capturing motion, tell me what you think:
I’m really enjoying the #developingyoureye free course that WordPress offers for ameteur bloggers. You’re forced to ponder about how you’re going to capture whatever the theme of the day is.
Today, they asked us to experiment with size. I was lost until I watered my pot plant.
Meet Pastel, I have her since Valentine’s Day.
My beloved, gave her to me as part of my gift. How sweet right!
I love the idea of a pot plant, nurturing, watering and making sure it gets light to grow, dry out, “die” and then the cycle starts all over again. It’s rather refreshing for me and reminds me that there’s always something beautiful to look forward too, even when we feel like we’re “dried out” or close to death.
I captured this tiny bud that I found at the base of the plant. A little bud that is soon going to blossom brightly. It intrigued me because it’s almost as though it’s a hidden beauty missed at first glance; not in the fore front but with time and abit of nurturing, it will turn out to be just as, if not more beautiful than the current.
…This was me experimenting with size lol, it was actually quite fun. Or maybe I was just bored, but I totally enjoyed trying to capture this lil bud.
